Master Bedroom Facelift

Our master bedroom has gotten a bit of a facelift. Since I’m always itching for a fun project and since Adam has never officially had a nightstand in our room (cinder blocks just won’t do because there’s no denying we’re adults now…in theory), we’ve added some snazzy new pieces to our cozy nest.

Our master bedroom has been many versions of itself and it’s definitely come a long way since we first moved in. I’m hoping you agree…

When we moved in:

Don’t be embarrassed for me, I’ve made peace with it.

Here’s what we included in our master bedroom facelift:

1. DIY pallet board headboard. Urban Outfitters knockoff at one-tenth of the price! See the tutorial here if you’re interested.

2. DIY pegboard nightstands with yellow hairpin legs. Tutorial coming soon.:)

3. Copper industrial sconces. These lights literally went from an old warehouse to our house. Adam found them at work in the trash and he just couldn’t bear to see them go. So home they went where we thoroughly cleaned them because SCURVY and added some copper tubing to them. Unfortunately, I don’t have a tutorial because Adam had to weld, solder and use his mojo to get them to stay put.

And there you have it folks. There’s still a little tweaking I’d like to do, so stay tuned. Thinking it’s a little wood-heavy. Perhaps some leather? For now, I’ve got a riveting Candyland tournament to get to.:)

    • Thanks, Bre!! So glad you like our facelift.:) The lights were a bit risky (as far as design), but they’re not too shabby. I’ll be posting a tutorial on the side tables soon. Thanks so much for checking it out and congrats on your new gig as a contributor on DTLB!!
